Located across 1400 breath-taking acres in Los Alamos, California, Farming First grows high-quality, sun-grown cannabis at an incredible scale, consistency and value that the industry has been missing. By bringing together the best of agricultural know-how and modern innovation with expert farmers, lifelong entrepreneurs, cannabis-industry veterans and visionary designers, Farming First’s mission is to build for the future of cannabis.

Following Scott Wilson and MNML's successful creation of cannabis giant Cresco Labs’ house of brands and retail brand, Farming First knew exactly who they needed as their design and creative partner. From ideation to execution, MNML produced a complete kit from brand strategy, identity and narrative to product development, packaging and website design.

As part of its cannabis industry business strategy, MNML and its subsidiaries licensed three retail-ready brands to Farming First in California. We identified four primary market segments – that varied across levels of cannabis consumption and lifestyle – to position Venterra Farms, High Fidelity and Mother. MNML crafted a warm, optimistic, and knowledgeable Farming First story that leaned into building something bigger than themselves by placing dependability, quality, sustainability, people, and farming… first.
